Week One
Four days, 1st week and 3 projects down.
Disappointed with my computer, compared to everyone else's.. but I suppose I'll learn from this.
Love the map project, it's a shame I have no camera to make it a photo map. But I've improvised with drawings and text. I decided to go with the slightly more unconventional map folding style, I started off wanting to do a standard Ordinance Survey concertina map but I got messing around with folds and ended up with a big circular star shape that folds down to a triangle or stands up in a cone. My risk paid off. I wasn't expecting the writing to go so well either, I'd planned a few fonts in my notebook and had one for each area (food and coffee places, museums and galleries, university buildings), I usually mess up or make little mistakes on things like this, like a spelling mistake for example. The only thing it lacks is maybe a little colour, I've added red stickers and symbols for each category but beside those it's all black writing. Atleast there's no big white spaces.
Monday's when everything starts properly, and I'm looking forward to less sitting and listening and more getting stuck into something messy.
I love having a notebook that I can document my whle life in. I like making lists.
I don't have a digital camera, I have a film SLR but that is much less convenient. A friend of mine might have one that she would be willing to give me but she can't find it, and I can't afford to buy a new one.
